Especially with the British, Benidorm is an incredibly popular holiday destination and has been for a number of years. A steady stream of returning and first time holiday makers pack their bags and head off to the sunny Spanish coast for a week or two each year.
Benidorm has been hailed as party central and it’s easy to see why with it’s endless supply of bars catering for all tastes but more lately it has also reinvented itself to cater for a crowd who are maybe looking for a little more of an upmarket experience. Cocktail bars and quirky terraces are now also the norm and the quality of restaurants available will not leave these new visitors feeling left out at all.
4 Restaurants not to miss on your holiday in Benidorm
Amigos Bistro
If you’re looking for a safe option where you’re guaranteed great service and excellent food all set in the perfect location then look no further than Amigos Bistro by Nas & Dino. This restaurant receives consistently excellent reviews and is often hailed as the best restaurant in Benidorm, many people who visit can’t face the prospect of eating anywhere else once they’ve tried this place out and return nightly throughout their holiday.
Castaways
Could Castaways be the friendliest restaurant in Benidorm. The saying ‘Enter as strangers and leave as friends’ has never been more suited to a place, at Castaways everyone is treated as part of the family and nothing is too much trouble even at the busiest times. The breakfast is a particular highlight and if value for money is your thing then this could quickly become your favourite place.

The Vagabond
A small and cosy restaurant in the old town, The Vagabond, is constantly mentioned by those in the know for the care and attention that goes into every dish. Fred (the chef) and his team are quick to welcome every guest who walks through the door and their efforts are rewarded with a full restaurant all most every night, for that reason it’s important to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Pizzeria L’Originale
This restaurant has recently upgraded to a much needed larger venue. Thankfully the attractions that made the original restaurant so popular, fantastic food and great service, have remained and continue to pull both holiday makers and locals into this venue. The owner Alex greets all guests with great enthusiasm for all the dishes available and will happily go into as much detail as you like about everything on offer.
No matter which hotel in Benidorm you’re staying at these restaurants are well worth a visit. All of them are considered amongst the best in the area and will prove very hard to beat.
Have you been to any of these restaurants? Or perhaps you know somewhere else we should try out?
