If you are bored of chain hotels, which look the same in every single place you go, then you could be interested in one of the following places to visit in Italy. To explore Italy further you might want to visit somewhere a little different, somewhere your friends will be completely jealous of and will get plenty of likes on Instagram. Maybe you want to stay in your own castle or a hotel completely dedicated to chocolate! Take a look at the following three places to stay in Italy
The Chocolate hotel
If you have got a sweet tooth or like me just loooooveee chocolate this might be the hotel for you. This hotel is dedicated to chocolate – this sounds like my cup of tea! The Etruscan chocohotel is the first hotel in the world which is dedicated to chocolate, unfortunately the place isn’t made of chocolate but you can eat chocolate all day long! Especially in the chocolate-themed restaurant that will serve you starters and desserts solely made of – you guessed it – chocolate! Can you see the theme here? The best place in the whole hotel is the choco sweet suite where there is an endless amount of chocolate. You can find the Etruscan chocohotel in the Umbria region of Italy near Perugia, it also has plenty of other facilities including a rooftop pool and an in house chocolate shop.
Villa Campestri
There are so many different varieties of olive oil – it’s like wine with different vintages and regions as well as different characteristics. If you are interested in olive oil and the different health benefits it can offer you should head to villa Campestri, which offers an immersive experience of olive oil. In the resort the gym is the meadows and the woods and I would certainly recommend heading out and experiencing the Tuscan countryside. You can also try your hand at beekeeping and make your own honey or olive oil tasting so you can fully understand the difference between extra virgin olive oil and olive oil. Best of all, for me, you can chose an olive oil massage under an oak tree You can find Villa Campestri near Florance in Tuscany. Castello di
Spaltenna
The hotel is in an old castle which dates back to 1030, but don’t be fooled the hotel isn’t old – it has all the mod cons that you expect in a 5 star resort. The views from the castle are spectacular and you will easily be able to spot the castle’s own vineyeard where they make their own wine. There is plenty to do on site including an outdoor and indoor swimming pool along with a wellness centre and even a golf course! I would also recommend just exploring the castle gardens and grounds and make sure you have breakfast with a view on the terrace.
