Thinking of buying gift vouchers? Well, stop right there.
Times have changed and with the internet, there is now no excuse for the bog-standard party gifts of old. Nobody wants a gift card to purchase a magazine subscription anymore or a voucher to buy clothes at a shop that’s not even of their own choosing. Money, however, is just too easy but with a wealth of options now available online, you’ll have no trouble finding a gift that is both unique and thoughtful (and next day delivery means there is always time to find something even if a certain occasion did slip your mind).
So, a few ideas to get you started…
Portraits
…And no I don’t mean a traditional portrait you would find in a country manor, I think most people are above having a portrait above their fireplace these days. There are however, plenty of options online for quirky portraits. Just grab a photo from your camera (or even save one from Facebook) and send it off to one of many people who are able to turn it into a colourful and unique piece of art. For a truly special gift, you could even have a portrait done of a special moment you’ve shared or even your favourite selfie together.
Dog Portrait
Maybe a portrait of your friend isn’t their idea of a present? Perhaps they’re the type of person who spoils their dog more than themselves. In that case, why not take have a portrait of their dog done instead. If they’re the type of person we’ve just mentioned you should have no problem finding a suitable picture to use from their Instagram or Facebook account. You can mix it up a bit too, it’s possible to get their portrait on a mug, on a cushion or even as a food bowl so he can eat off his own face… delightful.

Journals
So the portraits are a no go, this recipient likes to think of themselves as a little more sophisticated than that. How about a journal (or a diary as I would say), the possibilities are endless in terms of making them as colourful or whacky as you like. A simple design with their name engraved in the bottom corner could be perfect for some people while a journal with different themes for each month could work for others.
Miniatures
Most people have a favourite drink and if you’re the type of person who is looking for a personalised gift then it’s more than likely you know what it is. Why not get them their favourite, or a selection of their favourite drinks but made a little more special? Just Miniatures do personalisation for all occasions including hen dos, birthdays and weddings.
Personalised Chopping Boards
This is one for your house proud friends. Something as simple as a chopping board can be made extravagant and stylish, imagine a well-finished chunk of wood carved with a heart and initials or a house name, a great gift option for someone who’s notoriously hard to buy for.
