Why Take A Cruise?

by admin on December 8, 2015

Ever wondered what it might be like to jump on a ship and sail into the distance? Enjoying the warm sea air while floating between summer destinations, cocktail in hand, relaxed and ready to explore.

Cruises have changed a lot over the years and maybe aren’t quite what you think. For example, my own parents who have never mentioned the idea of one to me once, have just booked on an adult only cruise. Not only that but the more I hear, the more I’m interested…

So if you’re one of those people who still aren’t sure it’s for you, carry on reading as we look at why you should be taking a cruise as your next holiday.

Ticking the Boxes

Cruises are a fantastic way to see multiple destinations in just one trip. Unfortunately, it’s a fact of life that most people are unlikely to be able to see everywhere that currently sits on their bucket list. However, a cruise gives you the chance to tick a good few of these off without rushing around like a crazy person. You’ll arrive at each destination after a good nights sleep in a comfy bed and a full belly to fuel you for the day.

The Hard Work is Done for you

Although you’ll only have limited time in each destination, many operators have been visiting them for years. This means they can offer trips and excursions planned to perfection to ensure you make the most of your time on dry land. They know the best bits to see, the easiest ways to get around town and the hidden gems you won’t want to miss. All things you don’t want to be worrying about on your holiday and now you don’t have to.

No Need to Unpack

This is a very simple benefit of going on a cruise but an important one. How else could you visit so many destinations without having to constantly pack and unpack your luggage? Each night after a good day exploring you’ll return to a cosy room with all your belongings ready and waiting. Trying to squeeze all your clothes back into your suitcase (along with that new souvenir) before a late flight is a thing of the past.

Your Own Resort

Cruise ships these days are almost a resort in themselves, so much so, you might find yourself wanting to stay on board. Swimming pools, bars, restaurants and so much entertainment will make your cruise a holiday to remember before you’ve even seen the destinations you were so excited about.

No Nasty Surprises

Cruises are a very economical way of travelling. The all-inclusive nature of them mean you pay up front and know exactly what you are getting. Your standard of room, your meals and transport costs are all sorted before you leave. This gives you the chance to know your budget and start working your way through that extra spending money you’ve been hiding away.

So what do you think? Is a cruise starting to sound like something that might interest you?

Have you been on a cruise ship for the first time recently? How did it compare to your usual style of travel?
